I have over 20 years of experience both living in China, and studying the culture, language and customs. My degrees (M.A.) are from Berlin (Free University), Shanghai (Fudan University) and Taipei (Fu Jen University) in Sinology, Economics and Communication Science.
My business background, within the Asia Pacific region, includes project management for large corporations, notably Siemens. I have experience in preparing and training corporate employees and their families prior to their entry to China.
I am a passionate fan of the Chinese art of cooking and have an in-depth knowledge of the cultural aspects of Chinese food. In 1992 I published my book "Die Kunst der Küche in China".
From 2005 to 2008 I resided in Zhuhai, South China, and I have lived in Shanghai and Taipei.
